DAB ESC 3M (60149590) Protection and Control System - all single-phase motors up to 2.2 kW. The 'ESC' panels are designed to operate connected with submerged and surface pups, but can be used with any asynchronous electric motor. A wide range of electric pumps can be managed with just one version.
The rated current is calibrated inside the panel by a potentiometer with graduated scale. In the case of phase failure, overload or power surge, the system cuts out the motor after a period of time that simulates the tripping of a temperature relay overload cutout. The system protecting against dry running does not require probes (which can cause errors and added costs).
In the case of dry running, the system automatically performs four tests separated by progressive pauses in order to allow the water to be replenished in the wall, and it signals the wait status with the abbreviation SB (Stand-By). If the presence of water is detected during one of the test, the alarm reset and the 'ESC' panel continues its normal operation. If there is still no water after the tests, the 'ESC' panel signals the alarm with the abbreviation UL (Under Load), and stays blocked until it is manually reset. In single-phase verions, a condenser having a value appropriate for the motor being used has to be put inside and connected to the motor. The system can be connected to external automations such as pressure switches, floats, alarm signals, time pogrammers, computers etc with a normally closed (NC) contact, electrically clean (without voltage) connected to the SW terminals on the main terminal board.
