Borehole & Well Camera Inspection
SCL Water provide borehole and well camera inspection services. This will allow our customers to assess the condition and construction of their borehole/well.
SCL Water’s New Integrated Video Inspection System (IVIS) offers the capability to view your well or borehole to a depth of 150 metres. You will be able to visualise your well with an on-screen depth indicator. This is particularly useful for those interested in investigating a well for possible private use or just curiosity! The IVIS can identify a number of problems within a well/borehole currently being used as a private water supply. This process takes the guesswork out of diagnosing problems in your well. SCL Water will identify any breakage and/or deterioration in your well and it’s casing. This will help to identify borehole problems, caving and fractures and/or fracture zones. Additionally, we will be able to identify the source of any contaminants entering your well. This process will also help to recognise debris or materials that may have entered the well. This system records the information visually and a copy can be provided for you. In Summary, the video inspection system from SCL Water allows you to.
- Verify the depth of your well
- Verify if the casing is sealed where it meets the bedrock
- Help to identify a number of mineral encrustations that can cause water quality problems
- Identify other problems in the well in order for SCL Water to quote and implement and make corrections necessary.
